A little of what we like.......
- Allianz Musical Insurance
It’s important to think about insurance for musical instruments. Whilst many musicians think home contents insurance is sufficient, it might not be. Specialist musical insurance is inexpensive and often costs less than adding your instrument to your home contents insurance and if you make a claim, your home contents no claims discount won’t be affected. What’s more, home insurance policies often have high excesses and these can deter musicians from making a claim when they need to. Instruments can often exceed the single item limit on home contents policies, and listing an instrument as a specified item can significantly increase the premium. Specialist musical insurance covers professional use and provides specialist and prompt claims settlements on a ‘like for like’ (best for vintage instruments) or ‘new for old’ basis (for newer instruments), whatever best suits your needs. Allianz Musical Insurance is the UK's leading specialist instrument insurer. We insure over 65,000 musicians whose instruments have a combined value of more than £600 million. We offer a simple and comprehensive musical instrument insurance policy; covering accidental damage, loss and theft. Our policies can be tailored to suit all types of musicians; with optional worldwide, in-vehicle and public liability cover. Premiums start at just £33 per year and can be paid monthly for no extra cost (0% APR). Our policy comes with no excess as standard on instrument claims and a £100 excess on computer equipment. - Edinburgh International Harp Festival
