The Poppy Harp Composers Project
The PoppyHarp Composers Project, formerly known as the Future Blend Project, is an initiative dedicated to expanding the harp repertoire by fostering collaborations between composers and harpists.
Established in 2015, the project pairs composers with experienced harpists to create new works that highlight the composers individual style and the harp’s versatility. Over several months, these partnerships involve up to five sessions where composers receive tailored guidance on writing for the harp, ensuring each piece reflects their unique style while complementing the instrument. The culmination of this collaboration is the publication and performance of the new compositions, contributing to the enrichment of harp literature.
